About Us

We are churches committed to worshipping and serving Jesus Christ. As an association of churches we join with likeminded churches in spreading the gospel in our communities, throughout the Bay Area and around the world.

We really are here to help churches, not to be a church. Therefore, our purpose statement, "assisting churches in fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment," is our filter for deciding what we will do.

The Body of Christ in a city or area is more than a single congregation. It is truly the full breadth and depth of all congregations who lift up the name of Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of all people of all ages and of all backgrounds. Our family of Southern Baptist churches, the San Francisico Peninsula Baptist Association, desires to help all likeminded churches do the same. That's why here you'll discover ministries geared to various churches at various life stages and with various needs. That's why we have a place for every church and seek to minister to those churches through numerous service opportunities.

We want you to be a part of the blessings of God in the life of our churches. We'll bring you updates often on just what's happening among the churches of San Francisico Peninsula Baptist Association and share the stories of how Christ is making a difference in people's lives.

Thanks for checking us out!

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES
All references of New Living Translation unless otherwise noted.

God's Clear Guidance
Deuteronomy 4
5"You must obey these laws and regulations when you arrive in the land you are about to enter and occupy. The LORD my God gave them to me and commanded me to pass them on to you. 6If you obey them carefully, you will display your wisdom and intelligence to the surrounding nations. When they hear about these laws, they will exclaim, `What other nation is as wise and prudent as this!' 7For what great nation has a god as near to them as the LORD our God is near to us whenever we call on him? 8And what great nation has laws and regulations as fair as this body of laws that I am giving you today?

The Great Commission
Matthew 28
18Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. 19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

The Most Important Commandment
Luke 10
25One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: "Teacher, what must I do to receive eternal life?"
26Jesus replied, "What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?"
27The man answered, " `You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, `Love your neighbor as yourself.' "
[1]  28"Right!" Jesus told him. "Do this and you will live!"

  1. 10:27 Deut 6:5; Lev 19:18.

  MEET YOUR OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
  Kenia

My name is Kenia. At age fourteen, I invited Jesus into my heart, asking Him to be my Lord and Savior, and have served Him as an active member of Iglesia Bautista Hispana El Calvario ever since. As part of my service and gratitude to the Lord, I have participated in several ministries at church. I have served Him as a Sunday School teacher, and as a Youth Ministry leader. It has also been a blessing being able to actively participate in summer Vacation Bible School, and occasionally help as a nursery worker. Currently, I am serving as the church secretary, and as a member of the Puppet Ministry and Finance Committee. I am also on the worship team, which I enjoy very much. In addition to participating at church, I am also attending school. I trust that the Lord will lead me to where He plans to use me in his works. My desire is to live a life that is pleasing to God, and be an instrument in fulfilling His master plan.

Jesus is continuing to bless my life by giving me the opportunity to be a part of the SFPBA family. Along with educational growth and work experience, I know that this opportunity will bring spiritual growth. I am looking forward to working with and getting to know each and every one of you, and together praise the name of Jesus.
